It’s a SKILL test not a skills test

Hi Stuart, love your flying video's for 3 reasons; a) I am learning to get my PPL, with 13 lessons in and just got onto circuits. b) I am learning at Glasgow airport and sometimes Cumbernauld so nice to hear a familiar accent. c) I too love editing, for each video I create on my YT, I try to get more and more slick ! I will be doing my second circuit lesson on Saturday, I find that I am not thinking fast enough and not knowing when to do what, I look over the book and notes, but still get flustered. Hi Stuart, great video! Can you provide info on the GoPro cable you use to record audio in flight from your headset. Is there a link or description for what you use?

Switch the Pitot heater on for the Instrument flying part - what a GREAT tip, I would have thought of that.

Interesting insight to see what different people find interesting during the PPL groundschool. I hated Air Law… but I contrary to your video I thoroughly enjoyed Aircraft General Knowledge.. I learned so much about engines etc. things I had no knowledge of before. No one should feel intimidated by the exams. When you love something, the studying almost takes care of itself. I did my PPL in 21 days

Stuart, could have been carb heat stuck on. Once unstuck engineers would find plane normal.

Like you were, I am struggling to get my landings smooth, despite numerous circuits at EHPJ. I will use your advice to assist the progress. Trimming to reserve cockpit management effort probably will help me the most. Hopefully something will "click" soon and my landings will improve. Training so I can get PPL to fly my Cirrus SR22T to and from work in Germany. Talk about putting the cart before the horse!

I found "Live ATC" for android really helpful ...I pick an airport preferably local and copy what they say and respond as if it was me They were speaking to ...or invest in a Airband Receiver (scanner) again copy what they say ifound it really helpful

Sorry, I don't understand the instruction you were given at circa 2:16 minutes into the video. Something about remaining North of 24? Perhaps the video is compressed but you then flew across runway 24. Were you supposed to hold before giving instructions to cross over 24? I don't understand the instruction and then your actions? Thanks for the help - I am US pilot trying to understand UK radio work.

Going for a Frozen ATPL Course, it includes PPL training ofc, this was very helpful as a 17 year old who wants to be a pilot. One question, are the exams very hard? Or are they easy, and just stuff learned from training?
